The session included interactive exercises for learners to identify their personal and professional goals for further growth and continuous development focusing on:
- Recap of key takeaways from the working session.
- Expression of appreciation to learners, mentors, and supervisors for their contributions.
- Encouragement for learners to continue their learning journey and leverage their work placement experience.
The feedback and testimony of students.

Thato Emmanuel Motapanyane: Smart Tech Technologies
“I had a very wonderful experience at Smart Tech Technologies. At the beginning of our work placement, we were exposed to job shadowing where we were guided by their employees on how to do the majority of the things we learned. I personally had the privilege for a week with one of the mentors who saw my potential and I was then appointed as one of the company’s employees while I complete my work experience.
Among the things I learned I was exposed to the installation of cameras, fiber, and all IT-related installations.”

Maleshoane Ranki: Konica Minolta
“In a period of 6 months of my workplace experience, I learned how to make a network cable using: CATS cable, RJ45, a Boot, and an Impact Tool. I also had an opportunity to work with different types of cameras including Done Cameras, Bullet Cameras, IP, and Analogue Cameras.
We were also given an opportunity to work alongside our mentors at different schools and companies for the installation of cameras and telephones, intercoms, and sirens. The experience included being taught how to assemble and configure the DVR connectors, and how to replace hard drive switches, replacement, and systems reboot. We assembled computers and printing machines, installation of photocopy machines, black and white and color printing machines, computer applications, troubleshooting, implementation of computer solutions, and problem analysis.
