Advancing Education Through Reflection: JENN Training and Consultancy’s Dynamic Approach.

In a collaborative effort to elevate education, JENN Training and Consultancy convened with the Department of Education: Free State Subject Coordinators on 24 August 2023. The purpose of this meeting was to reflect on the winter classes and pave the way forward for the spring classes. The winter classes took place from 26 June to 7 July, for a maximum of ten days across five districts in the Free State – Fezile Dabi, Lejweleputswa, Motheo, Thabo-Mofutsanyana and Xhariep. The reflection encompassed key aspects including pre-winter class meetings, teacher development initiatives, student attendance records, and an analysis of pre-test and post-test results. JENN’s central objective is to enhance grade 12 results, achieved through consistent reflection on both successes and areas that require improvement in the JENN intervention program. This reflective process undertaken in partnership with Free State Subject Coordinators, facilitates the identification of gaps and the formulation of precise strategies to effectively address identified gaps.
