Marematlou Training Institute (Pty) Ltd hosted two days Department Of Education Conferences.

The Free State Primary Schools’ Reading Conference had a two-day conference from 3-4 August 2023 at Marematlou Training Institute Campus. The theme was #Teachers Leading Reading

The purpose of the conference was to discuss the fundamental topic of reading in the foundation phase.  Getting reading right in primary schools, reading strategies, and teacher development and training discussed.

The Chief Directorate for Physical resources hosted the HEDCOM Sub-Committee on School infrastructure Development at Marematlou Training Institute Campus on 3-4 August 2023.

The members from the nine provinces led by the head of infrastructure from basic Education will discuss, amongst other things, infrastructure procurement for improved service delivery as well as the ECD infrastructure strategy, following the migration of ECD from the Department of Social Development to Education.
