
Marematlou Training Institute Strengthens Partnership with SADTU at the 3rd Quadrennial Provincial Conference
Ms. Naile, the Skills Development Manager proudly represented Marematlou Training Institute (MTI) at the South African Democratic Teachers’ Union (SADTU) Free State 3rd Quadrennial Provincial Conference held in Parys, where she delivered a message of support on behalf of the institution and shared MTI’s commitment to strengthening the education sector through quality skills development and leadership training.
The conference provided an important platform for engagement with education stakeholders, school leaders, and union representatives focused on improving teaching, learning, and school management across the province. During her address, Ms. Naile highlighted Marematlou Group Holdings’ strategic role in education and training through its two divisions: Higher Education and Skills Development, and School Support Programme and Teacher Development, supported by both Marematlou Training Institute and Jenn Training & Consultancy .
A key focus of her presentation was MTI’s school-related programme offerings, particularly the Advanced Diploma in School Leadership and Management and the Leadership & Management Skills Programme for School Management Team (SMT) members. These programmes are designed to equip principals, deputy principals, and SMT members with practical leadership skills aligned to the evolving needs of schools. The training covers critical areas such as managing teaching and learning quality, staff development, school governance, community engagement, and organisational leadership .
Ms. Naile also emphasized MTI’s strong accreditation base across multiple SETAs, including ETDPSETA, EWSETA, LGSETA, and MICTSETA, including QCTO accreditation which is in progress with a broader scope and focus areas through different SETAs. These accreditations position the institution as a trusted provider of compliant, industry-aligned learning programmes.
The presentation concluded with a strong message of collaboration, highlighting MTI’s proven track record in capacity building for education leaders and its dedication to supporting continuous professional development within the schooling sector. By participating in the SADTU Provincial Conference, Marematlou Training Institute further strengthened its relationship with key education partners and reinforced its role as one of the strategic contributors to educational excellence and leadership development in South Africa.
