MTI Blood Donation Drive: Students and Staff Unite to Save Lives
June 4, 2025 – MTI Campus
In a remarkable display of community spirit and social responsibility, the students and staff of MTI came together on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, to take part in a vital blood donation drive held on campus. The event organised in collaboration with SANBS and MTI aimed at encouraging voluntary blood donation and raising awareness about the life-saving impact of this simple yet powerful act which is part of MTI commitment to employee and student health and wellness.
From early morning, the campus buzzed with energy as students, and administrative staff lined up to contribute to this noble cause. Medical professionals were on-site to guide donors through a safe and smooth process, ensuring a comfortable experience for all participants.
The coordinators of SANBS together with MTI Marketing department emphasised on the importance of regular blood donation. “Every unit of blood donated can save up to three lives.
The blood donation drive also included educational presentation and free health check-ups for attendees, fostering a deeper understanding of public health issues and the ongoing need for blood donors year-round.
The success of the event has inspired plans for future drives, with the goal of making blood donation a regular part of the MTI calendar. Today MTI more than donated blood—MTI community demonstrated compassion, unity, and the power of a community that cares.
