Student Portal Training
On 6–7 August 2026, Marematlou Training Institute conducted a follow-up Student Portal Training for the second-semester intake of the Advanced Diploma in School Leadership and Management. The training was facilitated by the institution’s Registrar, Dr Bihi, together with the Senior Systems Administrator, Mr Ntuka.
The Student Portal Training was designed to ensure that students are fully prepared to access and use the Student Portal, as the programme is delivered through a blended learning approach consisting of 80% online learning and 20% contact sessions.
Training for Cluster A was conducted on 6 August 2026, while Cluster B attended on 7 August 2026. Both sessions commenced at 09:00, and student attendance met expectations, demonstrating a strong commitment to the programme.
During the training, participants received practical guidance on accessing and navigating the Student Portal. Technical issues experienced by students were resolved, and important information was shared regarding password management, laptop warranties, and other ICT support services.
The Student Portal Training was an important initiative in equipping Marematlou Training Institute students with the technological knowledge and skills required to participate confidently and successfully in their studies. By strengthening students’ digital readiness, the Institute continues to support quality teaching and learning in an increasingly technology-driven educational environment.
