The Material Review Programme as a Strategic Collaborative Framework for the Preparation of the 2026 Five-Day Autumn Classes
The collaboration between JENN Training and Consultancy and the Free State Department of Education (FSDoE) for the 2026–2028 cycle reflects a shared commitment to strengthening Grade 12 academic performance across the province. In preparation for the five-day Autumn Classes scheduled from 28 March–01 April 2026, both institutions are working in close coordination to ensure full curriculum alignment, quality assurance, and examination readiness. The Material Review Sessions taking place on 17–18 February 2026 form a critical part of this preparation process, allowing Provincial Subject Coordinators and JENN academic teams to refine content, verify alignment with CAPS and Annual Teaching Plans (ATP), and ensure that all learner and teacher materials meet provincial standards and expectations.
Engagement with Provincial Subject Coordinators ensures that the Autumn intervention content responds directly to NSC diagnostic insights, district performance trends, and priority content areas identified within the province. Joint planning, structured material review, and aligned assessment design strengthen instructional consistency and support measurable learner progression during the Autumn Classes. This coordinated approach affirms the leadership role of Free State Department of Education in curriculum custodianship, while JENN Training and Consultancy provides structured intervention support aligned to provincial priorities, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing sustainable Grade 12 improvement across the Free State.
